Running Extensions on M1 Macs
If you've recently purchased a Photoshop extension (plugin) and find that it's not appearing inside Photoshop on your M1 Mac, don't worry; there's a straightforward solution. Running Adobe Photoshop in Rosetta Mode can help ensure that your extensions work seamlessly with your M1-powered Mac.
Here's a step-by-step guide to running Adobe Photoshop in Rosetta Mode:
- Launch Adobe Photoshop: Open Photoshop on your M1 Mac as you usually would.
- Enable Rosetta Mode: To run Photoshop with Rosetta, locate the Photoshop app icon in your Applications folder or Dock.
- Right-click (or control-click) on the Photoshop icon.
- Select "Get Info": In the context menu that appears, select "Get Info."
- Enable Rosetta: In the "Get Info" window, you'll find an option labeled "Open using Rosetta." Place a checkmark next to this option.
- Restart Photoshop: Close any open instances of Photoshop and then restart the application. It will now run in Rosetta Mode.
